Dozin' at the Knick

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - William Ruhlmann
Drawing upon the same spring 1990 East Coast tour that produced Without a Net, Dozin' at the Knick mixes performances from three successive shows performed at Knickerbocker Arena in Albany, NY, March 24-26. The Dead had reinvigorated their live shows in the fall of 1989, meanwhile reintroducing many of their older songs. By the spring of 1990, they were back to a more conventional repertoire though this album contains such fairly unusual selections as "The Wheel" and the a cappella "And We Bid You Goodnight", but their performance standard remained high, as demonstrated on this well-performed collection.
