Desire is the operative word in this novel -- unexpected, uncontrollable, and dangerous desire.... real issues with seemingly "real" characters, and the result is a fine book, which will appeal to readers of all romance genres.... Ms. Gold's novels just keep getting better and better.

Meet the Author

After seven years of starts and stops, Kristi Gold saw the release of her first book, Cowboy for Keeps, in 2000 and has since written over twenty-five Harlequin and Silhouette books. A classic seat-of-the-pants author, she attributes her ability to write quickly to a burning need to see how the story ends. Kristi has found inspiration for her books in a variety of places--from hot air balloon races to song lyrics--but composing stories that focus on the joy of falling in love is always her goal. She firmly believes that perseverance, some luck, a sense of humor and a continued love of the craft leads to success.

On the non-writing front, Kristi is an avid baseball fan, a Tex-Mex foodaholic, a quotations junkie and a beach bum wannabe. Her dream vacation involves spending a summer in an Italian villa on the Amalfi coast, and her eclectic taste in music runs from classical to country, and everything in between. Kristi currently resides in Central Texas with her retired physician husband, her three dogs and the occasional guest in the form of one of her three grown children.

As a bestselling, award-winning author, she's learned that although accolades are wonderful, the most cherished rewards come from corresponding with readers and networking with other authors, both published and aspiring. She may be contacted through her Web site at kristigold.com or through snail mail at 6902 Woodway Dr., #166, Waco, Texas, 76712 (please include SASE for response).

    One of my favorites

I just literally finished reading this book, and I must say it is one of my favorites. I¿ve read hundreds of novels by various different authors and I have never identified with the characters as much as I have with Michelle and Nick. I was so captivated that I couldn¿t put this book down for 2 seconds. I finished it within hours. (Much to my husband¿s displeasure.) I would recommend this book to any and all and I can¿t wait to read the next book in this series. I hope you enjoy this book as I did.

15 minutes will never be the same!

After reading Kristi Gold¿s Dr. Desirable, you¿ll think hot and passionate each time you hear the phrase ¿15 minutes¿. Tantalized? I won¿t give away the secret, but be prepared for some blistering sensuality. In this second book of Kristi¿s Marrying an M.D. series, Michelle Lewis, PR extraordinaire at San Antonio Memorial¿s hospital, tries valiantly to resist the charms of Dr. Nick Kempner, a sexy surgeon with a lady-killer reputation. Michelle has been burned before, but Nick¿s persistence reveals a man who is far more complex and serious than she ever bargained for. Nick is determined to uncover the woman beneath Michelle¿s workaholic exterior. A single dad who¿s tired of empty relationships, Nick senses vulnerability underneath Michelle¿s professional exterior. Little by little, he breaks down her barriers, and in the process, he proves he¿s the man of her dreams. Once again, Kristi Gold delivers a sensual story with plenty of sexy banter, a healthy dose of humor, and characters who touch the reader¿s heart. What differentiates Kristi¿s writing is her feather-light painting of her character¿s strengths and weaknesses, a painting that elicits a chord of recognition within the reader. Her sophisticated handling of emotional issues within the context of a traditional love story indicates a talent that promises to keep growing. Keep your eye on Kristi Gold.
