Editorial Reviews

It was fate that made Dr. Mel Goldstein a professional meteorologist. Growing up in Swampscott, Massachusetts, he quickly learned that weather was a constant topic of conversation. Thousands of chats and two academic degrees later, he became the chief meteorologist for Connecticut's News Channel 8. This slot has gained a huge daily audience and awards; in fact, Connecticut Magazine has named Goldstein the best on-air meteorologist in the state for nine consecutive years. With this book, "Dr. Mel" provides a nice regional follow-up to his 1999 Complete Idiot's Guide to Weather.
