    Awesome!

I don't play Dungeons and Dragons, but I love this book anyway because of the magical and charming ways that dragons are depicted. The artwork is also superb. Even tho alot of this book has to do with hit points and such for D&D, if you love dragons, then you'll love this book! I bought it for my daughter as a present, but now I'm getting another copy for myself.

    DM Essential

This is one of the most definitive works on Dragons ever written. Including detailed physiology, psychology and ecology, the book also provides rules for playing dragon characters and advice for including dragons as Characters and Monsters. Definitely one of the best Dungeon Master resources and fantasy enthusiast reads ever produced.

    DM Necessity

This book goes over the lifestyles, pyschological and physical prowess, and history of the true dragons in the world of Dungeons and Dragons. It covers the statistics of dragons ranging from age, challenge rating, and size, and it also covers magical items, and other dragon `species¿ found throughout the Dungeons and Dragons world. In my opinion, this book is essential to have for running a dragon encounter in Dungeons and Dragons. This book covers movement, stats, and abilities 'as do most Dungeons and Dragons books', but it also helps build a better understanding of dragons by supplying the reader with background information. The Draconomicon goes in to extravagant detail about the lifestyles and ecology of dragons, which leads to an overall better appreciation and knowledge of the different types of dragons there are to be found in this world. This book seems like it is only for a Dungeons and Dragons gamer, but you can still read it for entertainment, or for gaining some inspiration for art. An artist would find this book as an excellent guide to understanding the structure of a dragon. The only problem someone would have with this book (and most other Dungeons and Dragons books) is the vocabulary. The vocabulary is somewhat high up, and probably at the level of an eighth grader or higher. What I can guarantee, though, is that any Dungeons and Dragons gamer would truly enjoy reading and using this book.

Immersa, a dragon lover, age 14

This is such a cool book! Thought I was a little disappointed that it didn't have pictures of the Gem dragons... Oh well. I'm gonna try and get the Book of Vile Darkness. (If my Mom will let me.)

    A DM must have tool

This book is awsome. For the Dm's who use dragons as a final climatic battle in a series of adventures, to having your Pc's interacting making alies with them this is a book make to make the Dragon stand out agenst. Shure the Monster manual and stats say there smart and can live for a long, long time but this book makes that much more cunning, that much more dangerous, that much more an allie , and that much more rewarding to the Dm and the Pc's when playing.

    What I've been looking for!

For the longest time, I've been trying to find out just SOMETHING logical about dragons, and it's an automatic assumption that you can find the best things online. Boy, was I wrong. This book is the only thing anywhere that I've looked that I could find detailed descriptions, history, all that other good stuff you might want to know about dragons, and anything a D&D player would need to know to create one... Whether you want to create a D&D dragon PC/NPC, or if you just want to know about them, the best thing to get is that book there.
