Overview

The hard-rock-packed audio companion to Wes Craven's post-millennial retelling of Bram Stoker's Dracula tale is as hair-raising as the film -- especially with the volume turned up to 11. Headbangers including Slayer, Monster Magnet, and Pantera lined up for the chance to spook the hell out of the meek and mild. Powerman 5000 open the disc with their grinding masterwork "Ultra Mega," while thrash-metallers Slayer deliver "Bloodline," a fist-pumping ode to the creepy bloodsucker. System of a Down delve into a more alt-rock/punk sound with "Metro," which accelerates to a drill-fast beat during the chorus and drops to a snare-popping groove during the verses. The devilish Marilyn Manson join Godhead on the song "Break You Down," which does not deviate from Manson's typically hard-edged sound. On "Avoid the Light," aggressive rockers Pantera make a mantra of the song's title, repeating it over a steady thumping groove spiked with a screaming guitar solo. The soundtrack also includes tracks by Saliva, Half Cocked, Taproot, and others. Dracula himself would be proud of this hard-rocking, blood-curdling collection.

Rolling Stone - Matt Diehl
When it comes to sonic evil, sometimes it's the old-timers that have the sharpest fangs.

This soundtrack is amazing. Especially the final song, the hidden track by Tristania. This CD is tense, hardcore, and hits the spot when having a bad day and need to let it out. I have recommended it to my friends and they have all bought it... its amazing.

This soundtrack is one of my favorites. It has an excellent edge to it. This provides a great accompaniment to the movie.

I believe that this soundtrack can be compared to the music from ''missions impossible 2'' and possibly even better. Since the movie hasn't come out yet i can't really compare the music to the film so i'll give you my knowledge of music.
