Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Naomi Butler
The first chapter of The Roots of Vampires and Werewolf Stories sets the background for this very exciting and informative paperback book. It has everything to capture interest for the reader—which includes the history and stories and legends passed down though time. The book describes the nineteenth century Gothic Movement and then into the twentieth and the twenty-first centuries. It is packed with the happenings and with information and great illustrations. Movies and books are included. Words you may not know are included. Everyone will love the cover and the format. The section about Further Reading is helpful and very interesting. Young people will search out all of the suggestions in the back because of the interesting related information. The words "interest" and "appealing" are all well used with this book. They will also be interested in the other books in the series. Reviewer: Naomi Butler
