Overview

Revealing herself as the Dracula of legend, much less a woman, should have been Valerie Tate's greatest challenge. But with her longing for blood quenched by the one man she couldn't resist, Valerie now finds herself in an impossible circumstance . . .

OUT OF THE SHADOWS . . .

It's a fact that vampires do not get pregnant. But Valerie is definitely pregnant. Worse, six months ago her lover, Lance Soleil, abandoned her. Determined to find answers, Valerie goes on a quest-one that leads her to Lance's childhood friend, John Janté, a man with whom she shares a strong bond-and an intense lust. But when John is kidnapped, Valerie's attempt to rescue him uncovers more than she bargained for . . .

INTO THE FIRE . . .

Scouring parallel realms and pocket dimensions, Valerie soon finds that Lance has regained Paradise as Angel of the Lost . . . John is hostage in a bizarre world that resembles Victorian London . . . and most shocking of all, Valerie's greatest love may be within her reach once more. For the soul of Dracula's dead wife, Ilona, is trapped within John's captor, a mad woman robbed of her humanity and manipulated by a conspiracy of Fallen Angels. Now, torn between past and present loves, Valerie must contend with emotions that threaten to break her. And in a desperate show-down, the reunited triad of a vampire, an angel, and a human, must face their deepest fears-with the future of an unborn angel-to-be in the balance . . .

Hawkpool and the disaster Part 5

Hawkpaw caught a glimpse of Daisypaw pinned down by a massive badger, but Firepaw crashed into it. Badgerpaw was still working on the badger on his back with three other badgers around him. Badgerpaw's black pelt disappeared among the badgers. Hawkpaw was hiding on top of the tree, his yellow eyes wide in fear and terror. 'What am I doing? I'm braver than any kind of warrior! I should fight too!' Hawkpaw scolded himself, but he didn't move. 'Come on! Fight for your friends! Fight for your clan! Fight for your family...jump!' Hawkpaw was suddenly in the air, the wind pushing against his fur. He landed on one of the badgers that was attacking Badgerpaw and unsheathed his claws so he can stay on. Suddenly, he feels pain crash inside him. One of the badgers were biting in his pelt with sharp fangs. He suddenly let go of the badger and drop to the cold ground. 'Get up, mouse-brain idiot!' Hawkpaw scolded himself once more, but all he felt was pain. The badgers attack him roughly, making blood spill in the clearing. 'Attack! Now!' Hawkpaw tried to defend himself, but he couldn't even breathe. 'I won't give up! I'm stronger, tougher, faster...' Hawkpaw opened his blood-filled yellow eyes to see badgers, Daisypaw, Firepaw, and Badgerpaw, blood. He could see blood more than anything else. 'Don't give up!' Hawkpaw unsheathed his claws and slices through one of the badger's muzzle. Hawkpaw let go immidiently, standing on all four legs. Hawkpaw then felt something horrible, he couldn't move. He couldn't breathe. He feels sharp, cold fangs digging deep in his neck. And been thrown aside like a dead kit. But he wasn't dead yet. 'I can't survive this!' Hawkpaw finally told the truth. 'I need to run!' Hawkpaw saw a tree and ran toward it, but all six badgers were after him. Hawkpaw grip on the trees and climb up, but sharp claws dug deep on both sides, and fell to the ground roughly. But nothingelse happened. The badgers weren't attacking him anymore. Hawkpaw couldn't see anymore, because he fainted. "Hawkpaw! Wake up!" Hawkpaw groaned in pain, sheathing and unsheathing his claws to see if that voice was a threat. But instead it was Daisypaw. Hawkpaw opened his eyes and realized he was inside the Medicine Cat den. Mousepaw was sorting out some herbs, twitching his ears. "You're awake!" Mousepaw exclaimed. "Acourse I a-" Hawkpaw felt something wrong on him. He looks down to try to find out what is wrong. But all he can see was his two bloody paws and one hind leg...one hind leg?! Hawkpaw's face froze. 'This isn't happening! Maybe I am dreaming!' He suggested and closes his yellow eyes tightly. He opens them again and found himself in the sae place. 'I lost a leg!' END OF PART FIVE! PRETTY SAD, HUH? PLEASE TELL ME YOUR FAVORITE PART SO FAR!!
