It's BATTOSAI yet again, with another review. Now when I compared Dragon Ball to Star Wars I didn't suggest they were similar it's just DB is to manga as SW is to movies, they will never cease to live, and when I say Dragon Ball I also mean Dragon Ball Z, in Japan there was no Z at the end, DB and DBZ were one in the same, but that's besides the point on to my review of, Dragon Ball VIZBIG volume 1 Personal score 9.0 out of 10 Age rating 15+ Genre shonen (boy/men), action/adventure, comedy. Son Goku is a boy of a simple nature raised by his foster grandfather Son Gohan when he was found in the woods with a bump on his head, Gohan observed great strength in goku and had him learn the ways of Kung-Fu. Many years after his grandfather died, a girl named Bulma stumbled upon goku's house in the moutians, thus starting a grand adventure of epic proportions that we like to call, Dragon Ball. This volume goes from the meeting of Goku and Bulma, all the way to the middle of the Tenka'ichi Budokai, and includes an interview with Akira Toriyama himself. WARNING; this manga may seem good for kids but it contains suggestive content so watch out. The characters are classic, if you read manga and you've never heard of Son Goku, well then I just don't know what to say. The art of DB is remarkable, I mean you can tell Toriyama San's art from a mile away, it's so unique and good, you can't say its bad or you're messing with manga itself. There are also bonus color pages in VIZBIG Editions, to those of you who don't know. Manga to anime, I don't care but I will say this, a lot of the jokes about really long sessions of combat in DBZ is because the anime was made almost right up next to the manga, so the show was longer to make it so Toriyama San could write without pressure. Whether you like it or not, Dragon Ball set the standard for modern shonen manga, an it's here to stay, so till next time see you.

Wow! Great example of Japanese manga! Action packed and filled with humor. If you are a fan of the Dragon Ball Z series, like comic books, or just want a good read, get this! If you have no idea what Dragon Ball is all about, this is great, since everything is explained. Also, any fan of the show can't call themselves a fan without reading this. A+

The first book in this series is great. Goku has a fun and innocent personality and the other characters are molded very well too. Try to ckeck out the rest of AkiraToriyama's books like Dr.Slump.

This is great for people 13+ (because of some nudity). It's funny and has great art. It is by far the best comic made by Akira Toryama.
