I watch the anime on cw4kids every saturday and it rox!!!!! I hope my mom lets me get this!!!!!!! Goku Piccolo and Jase are my favorite charecters. I think fruits basket is better (even though for the younger kids under 10 i would recomend the anime because the books talk about inapropriate stuff) but dragonballz is #2 thats for sure!!!!!!!!!

This is a very nice manga series, enjoyable and silly. I already own this entire series in paperback I wish that I could by a digital version of it. But, I cant. I have nook simple touch, and soon a nook simple touch with glowlight. The Entire manga, except for the cover is in black and white. So because of this, Im not allowed to buy it for my nook, I have to have a nook tablet or nook color. Guess that leaves me with one option. Avast yee mateys. Rrrrrr. Makes these titles available for the normal nook!

As a fan of the Dragonball Z animated series, I knew the plotline, but, even so, I was astounded by how much better the manga (literally, "comic," for those who aren't familiar with the Japanese terms!) was than the show. Rather than speaking in the clipped, grammatically correct style as they do in the show, the characters speak with the flowing ease of "normal" people. Yes, there is some cursing, but it's pretty mild, and it contibutes to the more realistic feel of the "book." After all, how many people wouldn't curse if they're being attacked by an alien from another planet? About the book itself: It's a fairly fast read. I finished it in half an hour. But a word of warning: it reads "backwards," i.e., from right to left. If you're not used to this, then it can be pretty confusing. But there's a mini-guide on how to read the stuff, which is helpful. There are a number of little footnotes from the editor, which are always interesting to read, and help explain the "inside jokes" and references to Dragonball to new-comers to the series. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this, and any fans of the TV show will too.
