Before the War of the Lance.

The Companions have gone their separate ways, each vowing to return with news of the growing darkness in Ansalon. Sturm Brightblade, a warrior whose honor is his life, and Kitiara, a passionate woman of uncertain loyalties, travel north in search of Sturm's long-lost father.

Before they reach their destination, a band of gnomes begs for their help. But nothing with gnomes ever goes as planned. The two adventurers are soon thrown into a perilous adventure that will take them beyond the realms of Ansalon, through love and hate, to darkness and light.

I was a bit surprised where the story has gone so far but it's a good read. I would recommend this book to fans of the Dragonlance series.

This is one you can skip!!! Katrina and Strum 'flying' around in a Gnome boat---get real. If you read 'Generations' this makes even less sense!! Sorry I bought it.

This book on its own is pretty good.. A little wacky but hey, it's Dragonlance. If you enjoyed the Gnomes in the Chronicles books you will love this one. The book has one huge flaw: IT CREATES A HUGE PLOT HOLE IN THE SERIES!! I don't want to ruin this for anyone.. but for those who have read Dragons of Summer Flame, or Second Generation: Steel could not exist if this is an accurate telling of the story. Thats all I will say without spoiling any of the books.
