This is definitely one of the greatest sagas I have ever read, and I would eagerly suggest them to anyone who expresses a curiosity. Though the story takes place in a magical land with magical heroes, vililans, and creatures, one feels a certain connection with the characters for the fact that they are quite similar to ourselves. Most often these characters were not born into greatness, nor did they aquire power easily through through magical means. We can relate to them because they are very much similar to ourselves; normal people, who through a series of events and circumstances out of their control, find themselves facing great trials and tribulations. Like us, they have to work and fight to obtain greatness and become the people they are. For many of us, the character that stands out the most is Raistlin Majere, a misunderstood and deeply personal character who displays the snide sarcasm towards life and others that most of us envy. It is an excellent and addictive read, and I implore people to pick a book up and submerse themselves in this wonderful world that Laura and Tracy Hickman, as well as Margaret Weis, created for us. Enjoy! I promise you won't regret it.
