    Must-read for fantasy fans

Great book for lovers of epic fantasy - nice mixture of magic, adventure, suspense, and intrigue. It is not necessary that you have read any other Dragonlance books outside of the Legends series to understand or enjoy this book. Excellent read for teenagers to adults; may be a bit much for younger readers.

    Best of Saga

'Tanis never spoke to anyone of that meeting. Though the visions seen and words heard were indelibly etched upon his moemory, he found he could not talk about them. To give them voice seemed to demean them, to take away their terrible horror, their beauty.' I think that quote sums up perfectly the confrontation between the twins at the end. It was so perfect that to describe it any other way WOULD take away from it. You are with Raistlin and you empathize with his inner struggle. Definitely the most powerful scene I've ever read. Only problem is if they were to ever make movies, 5 movies would have to come before this one...and that's a lot of waiting.

    My favorite so far

This was by far my favorite book in the series - but I have a bone to pick with the writers. Raistlin becomes too powerful a mage, so it's obvious he's got to go - but come on! He's the best character in the saga! Couldn't they stretch it out a little longer?! Are they going to bring him back? Let's hope so! This is a must read - and if you need a 'Raistlin fix,' there's always Brothers Majere!

    The test

These books were a good as the first. I have read all the first books and found them to be great. Raist has always been a favorite of my characters even though he turns bad.If you want to read these you will want to read all the books from the begining thats the only way to understand it. The only thing that suprised me was that any girl would like Raist much less a cleric of Palidine. In the end it is worth the long wait to read all of them and I cant wait for a chance to get my hands on another dragonlance book.

    Just amazing

let me begin by saying that i love all of the characters that Weiss and Hickman created throughout the first 3 chronicles books and legends series ( along with Magic of Krynn ) but of all of the characters my all time favorite would definently be Raistlin! Weiss succeeded in creating a extraordinarily realistic hero/villian the is subject to real emotions and weaknesses in a human, only he also has a magical curse on him and is extrememly sick. this story concludes the DL Legends when Raistlin succeedes in entering the portal that leads to the Abyss to challenge the gods for their thrones. And as Camaron and Tasslehoff find out when they travel to the future, HE SUCCEEDES! in this story follow Camaron and Tass as they go on a final mission to stop Rais at whatever way possible, even if it means risking their lives! all DL stories are emotional and majestical y unique. but this is propobly the most heart touching, action based, and suspensful story in the early epic tales of Krynn! THIS IS A MUST HAVE!

Great end to an awesome trilogy

I believe this book was the best of the trilogy. It has great characters and plot. This trilogy is what got me hooked on dragonlance. If your the kind of person that is enthralled by dragons, magic, and war this is the book for you.

    This trilogy ends

In this, the final installment of the DragonLance Legends, Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman finished the story of the twins. They tell of Raistlin's journey through the Abyss, Caramon's knowledge of his brother's evil, and Tasselhoff's realization of life and it's tragedies. This book is an excellent example of perfect writing. As you read, you will be able to see yourself walking beside Raistlin, the sweet scent of rose petals and death in your nostrils. You may be trudging along beside Caramon in a life-less world, the mud sticking to you boots. Finally you could accompany Tanis and Dalamar, watching helplessly as Caramon enters the Abyss to deal with his brother, Raistlin

A true journey into the fantastic

It's funny how some would call this a 'pre-teen' adventure into literature. As a well traveled military wife with several college degrees, I can honestly say this book was a triumph. For those who can truly appreciate science fiction/fantasy-it will captivate and enthrall you as only the Dragonlance series can. I have lived in more foreign countries than many people can claim to have visited, I have read literature in many languages, and studied many religions..yet nothing else in the world can quite interest nor entertain me more than science fiction. Here we are truly set free from the normal sarcastic and repetitive drivel that is modern literature-and revell in someone else's fantasy world. I give it a rating of ten, and recommend this set of books to any and all intelligent people-most especially to adults-who lord knows can use a little 'escape' now and then from our otherwise stressful and hard working lives! Thumbs up to yet another excellent work
