Good sequel in Dark Disciple Series

I was skeptical about the direction Margaret was going in this series. The writing is distinct from the famed Dragonlance novels of the beginning for various reasons (evolved writing styles, Margaret "solo", etc.) but Margaret does well to continue keeping interest with the core characters of this series as well as bring in more of the gods as influencers in the lives of the characters. I think this book (as with the series) will captivate the seasoned Dragonlance reader to see how things progress toward the "end" with the final book so to speak.

Part two better than the first

The characters continue to develop and grow. Not overloaded with too many characters, like other Dragonlance novels. This series also gives insight on the how the Gods think and manipulate mortals AND each other. I truly could not put this one down. I love the dark feel to this series.

    Better than the first,

Though still not up to what I expect from Weis, this work is stil enjoyable. I like a bit more action. The character developement is expertly done and many of the side characters I actuallay came to care about. If you like her works, you will enjoy this one. Hope the third is better.
