Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. In this book we learn much more about Raistlin Majere's (a main character in the popular DragonLance book series) past, particularly the details concerning his trials to become a mage. This book is wonderful. If you're a DragonLance fan it is definately the book for you!

This book was the first book that I have read of Dragonlance and I just like the information part at the back. I started to read but in the beginning it was really boring because I was like 'Who are these people?' but then it become interesting and that is the beginning of my DL adventure in 6 years I read all the books that I can provide about DL.

I love the characters and getting the background on them is great, especially on Raistlin. Worth the read because it deepens the chronicles and allows you to get into the story, too.

I disliked every character in the book, without exception. The only redeeming part of the book was what happened at the end, and even then it wasn't enough to make me glad I'd read the book. I suffered through the entire thing. I am never reading this book again. All the characters need to be slapped, hard, and possibly repeatedly.

This book was a GREAT read. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more about Raistlin. My only problem is that it didn't focus more on his test. I couldn't put it down, it was a real page turner.

This book was a fantastic book. I couldn't put it down. I'm only 15 and I don't like to read very often, but this book was magnificent. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I didn't like the beginning much. It started off a bit slow, but once you are decently far you won't want to stop.

This is an amazing book, one of the best work I believe that has been published in the Dragonlance novel series. It gives you full detail of Raistlin's life before the War of the Lance, and explains many of his actions later. Very good reading material.

I thought legend of Huma was great but this i think is even greater. Or at least they are the same. I like how he stragles to be a mage. It makes the book a whole lot better. There is also more tales about him when he is older. I just started on these books and the only one i have seen him in is in War of the lances. I believe they are short stores. But still good. I just want to thank all the authors for making the books. :))

For any of you who are just beginning to dabble in the Dragonlance saga, this should be the first book you purchase. For those of us that grew up with the original books, Chronicles, Test of the Twins, etc., this book answered a number of questions. For those of you just starting out, it's an excellent starting point that doesn't give away anything from the later books. In fact, you should probably read this and go straight to Chronicles after it. This was an awesome book. I read it in 3 days. I couldn't put it down. I've been a Raistlin fan since high school. He still remains the most intriguing character for me. Don't hesitate to pick this book up. It just might change your life and open you up to the wonderful world of Dragonlance.

This book is my favorite, because it shows of every reasons, every causes of what thrives him to become the most legendary mage that is turned out to be the most respectful being and it still can be feared by all who read about him. Not only feared but also admired for not only his sense of being, also of why he is my favorite for he symbolizes all that I am.

This is a very good book which gives you a different perspective on the way people see Raistlin. In this book you see how he was before he became so altogether strangeand distorted. I highly recomend this book. you will not regret it.

First started reading Dragonlance 12 years ago. At the time this book was out of print and had to wait till now to find it. A lot of what Raistlin is about is clarified.Raistlin has always been my favorite and this story does him justice.

This book has it all! I've always wondered what happened during Raistlins younger years, and what accured during his infamous test in the Tower of High Sorcery. This book explains it all. If you have fallen in love with Dragonlance, just as many others have, this book is a must.
