Ive been reading these books since 1986 when they were first published. Ive always been interested in the story of the twins. The way they connect with each other and the mutual hatred they have as well. Ive been waiting 2 years for the next book to pop up. Please Margeret and Tracy( or Don) Help me out here!!!

    I Also Recommend:

    Good Series

If you want to learn in depth the backround on how Raistlin and Caramon grow together, this whole series is recommended. The only thing that I was a little disappointed in was that the authors did not go in depth about the studying Raistlin does to become such a great mage at a young age. They mention the time that he has to put into studying briefly, but never in depth.

    conclusion or just continuance?

I've read the two books in this series, and really did enjoy them. Raistlin and Caramon are two of my favorite fantasy characters, simply because of the dynamics and changability involved. REALLY good book, and I hope they come out with another!

    Wow!

The headline says it all. I can't wait for the 3rd volume, and I pray that it comes out soon. It's been 2 years since this one was first released.

    Well written and interesting

As a huge Raistlin fan, I'd rather read about him sweeping the floor than read about Kitiara fighting dragons, but I realize I'm probably in the minority. It is a well-rounded book and quite meaty, as far as DL books. (Let's face it, they aren't "great literature", but they're fun to read.)

Great book, Not one to put down

A great second volume to the Soulforge. I hope there is a third. Red finds a way to deal with his weaknesses and the powerful magic that flows thru him.

    One of fantasy's best!

I have read both 'Soulforge' and 'Brothers in Arms.' Both books are a must read for ANY fantasy reader. While I was at first taken a little aback by the apparent contradiction between these books and a previous one, 'Brothers Majere,' I can accept these volumes for two reasons. 1. Margret Weis is one of Raistlin's creators and 2. these books are MUCH better. If you enjoyed any of the Dragonlance novels, you will love these books. However, I wonder if there is to be another volume. There appears to be a gap between this book and the start of the Dragonlance series.

    A Stunning Sequel

This was an excellent book. While it isn't quite as good as Souldforge, it is definitely up there. It really develops all the charecters much more, and gives some great backround information on the Dragonarmies, and the twins' mercenary life. Gives a great story for Kit. And you really have to love Scrounger. Master Horkin was also a fabulous success. Overall, a great book, should definitley be part of your collection

Margaret Weis has done it again!

Margaret Weis has done it again! If you are a big fan of Raistlin or Kit , you must read this book! We get to go deeper into Raistlin's past, and we find surprising new information on Kitiara. For Raistlin fans, like myself, this book should be part of your dragonlance library.
