    Long trilogy. Felt very long

I enjoyed a lot of the the Dragonlance books especially the main books like the War of the Twins & The Chaos War. I also read the War of the Souls trilogy that takes place after the Dawn of the New Age. In my opinion, the 3 books by J.Rebe are very draggay. Introduces characters that has no importance to the advancement of Krynn except the Dragons which played a key role in the War of the Souls. But again, you can skip all these books and jump right into the War of the Souls without missing much. The romance between the human & Kagonesti lead to nowhere and too often the journey of our heroes were too boring. Really, this trilogy does not extend the Chaos War not provide a great intro to the War of the Souls.

    A good beginning.....

This is a good beginning to an awesome trilogy. I just finished the last of the fifth age books. I read all 3 in under two months. I was absolutely enthralled with with the writing. Jean Rabe paints a very vivid picture with her words, you can envision everything to the last detail.

    Good!!!

This is a very good book. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it doesn't quite live up to Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman's novels. It also isn't always consistant to the world of Dragonlance that Weis and Hickman created. But, generally this is a great book.

    Two Days!

I read this book in two days! I couldn't put it down. I had to see where things were going with the big dragons. I especially liked Rig. Nice to see a black hero in Krynn.

    This book was terrible!

I've read most of the Dragonlance series, and enjoyed those written by fantasy masters Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis. The Dawning of a New Age introduced several new characters that could have been interesting, but they have little personality and no dimension to their character. The entire Fifth Age series is bland...there was little to no detail involved, and although the plot is all right, the writing was terrible. What is this 'shadow sorcerer' business? It all smacks of cliche, outdated fantasy. All in all I believe this series could have been written with much more sophistication.
