A look at Thorbardin and how it works after the Cataclysm but before the Dark Queen starts her latest war.  It read like several sessions of an actual table top gaming series.  In some ways this was nice, in others it was a little too stop and go for me.

The gnome, Bobbin, is one of the funniest creatures yet.

    Good Read. Enjoyable.

I enjoyed this novel. I like how the author made the hero comical at times, it added flavor to the reading. Gives insight into The Dwarf kingdom. Good plot, uses imagination. Enjoyable read.

Not exactly worthy of the Dragonlance name

Don't let my headline fool you, this is a good book, just disapointing. I just thought the plot was a pack of side quests crammed into one novel. You are continually thinking, 'So what's the point of this book?' Though I like the tie ins with Kitiara, I didn't think the characters were memorable. But other than that, this was an entertaining novel and if you are collecting either the DragonLance novels or just the Heroes series.
