Overview

Aleda Sable faces the toughest decision of her life--to stay in dragon form, live as a two-legged or put one foot in the human world and one talon in the dragon world.

An urgent call from her newspaper editor sends Aleda to report on an accident whose driver appears to be a dragon. Authorities have the scene locked down and aren't allowing access to anyone. Television broadcasts flash pictures of scaly legs hanging from a crashed car. However, the bodies disappear into thin air. When the stations try follow-up reports, all they find are state highway workers busily tearing up the roads.

In determining the truth of the shifter disappearances, Aleda finds the truth of her own dilemma.

About the Author

C. L. Kraemer has been a gypsy all her life. From her military child beginnings to her might-not-get-this-chance-again attitude after she left home, she’s seen most of the continental United States as well as Hawaii and Alaska. She hopes to travel the world but is content to stay close to her family in the Northwest in Oregon—for the moment.
Three contemporary romance novels written under the nom de plume, Celia Cooper, Old Enough to Know Better, Sun in Sagittarius, Moon in Mazatlan, and If Only were gifts from the writing gods. A fourth novel, Cats in the Cradle of Civilization, release date December 2008, written as C. L. Kraemer is her first venture to the mystery genre. Healthy Homicide, the October 2008 launch book for a new publishing house, RoguePhoenixPress, picks up the torch again in the mystery world. In February 2010, she contributed to two Valentine’s Anthologies at RoguePhoenixPress: A Valentine Anthology, with a story titled, Lending Library, and A Different Kind of Valentine with a story titled, The Prize.
She has completed the base story, Dragons Among Us, August 2010 release by Rogue Phoenix Press, for a Dragon Fantasy series.
On the schedule is Meadows of Gold, another faerie story, to be released in A St Patty’s Day Tale, March 17, 2011; Shattered Tomorrows, a novel based on one of the first mass shootings which took place in Salem, Oregon in 1981; a commuter book featuring a motorcycle poker run, Joker’s Wild, and the third in the dragon series, Dragons Among the Ice.
