    Fun and educational

This book was not only fun and educational for my kids (ages 4 and 6), but its lessons stuck with them. They pose number vs. weight questions to other children. My girls especially liked that it is a little girl who saves the town.

    Animal: Jinx
Boyfriend: None, and she doesn't want one.
History: She was an orphan ever since she was eight, when her father was arrested ((and probably executed)) because of mass murder, and her mother was killed at his hands. Because of the cruelity of her orphanage, she ran away into the forest where she learned to live. When she was ten and a half, she found Jinx, a Hydrus who was apparently abandoned by her family. She kept her as a pet, came here, and the rest is history.

History: She was born into a strict family. Because of her unusual fur and eye color ((Hydri fur is usually golden or brown, and their eyes are pitch black,)) they threw her out into the forest for dead. Vivienne, her current care-taker, found her and nursed her back to health. When Vivienne discovered this place, she came here, and, well, you know the rest!
Other: She likes fish :3 Don't get me into the details on how she eats them.

    Shell Shock

Breed: manganate (one of the two left in the world. The other is a male) -Gender: female -Color: metallic gold with silver claws -Defenses: deadly sharp claws and teeth; massive wings -Size: enormous. Fifteen feet tall and still growing -Powers: known only to me. She will show them when she feels that she trusts you -Attitude: stubborn with mild anger issues. Will bond to the person who trains her and protect them for the rest of there life. Amazing fighter with incredible strength. Will only back down if ordered to do so by her master. Needs a strong guy to be her trainer/owner because of her stubborness. Treat her kindly and she will return the favor. Treat her unkindly and she will eat/kill/maim you. Make her mad and you are in for a rollercoaster.
