In recent books, I have worked with artists whom I consider to be superbly talented. All are top achievers and craftspeople, highly acclaimed by their colleagues and fans... and some have names and work you may recognize. This way we are making available to you other styles of drawing, techniques that are different from my own. With that in mind, I consider myself very lucky to have been able to persuade Persis Lee Ames to join with me in creating this book.

    Havenlight

Havenlight hovered over the thick brush, her green eyes glittering. She was happy, knowing that no on could see her. The words swirled through her brain. She shook her head to clear her thoughts, moving foward with certainty. She jumped as a starlight-lit cat appeared infront of her. Her black fur stood on end, but she quickly relaxed. "Goldenstar," Havenlight meowed softly, dipping her head. "Greetings, Havenlight," Goldenstar replied. "Im on my way," Havenlight informed, floating foward a few more pawsteps. "Wait until one of the medicine cats is alone," Goldenstar hissed, "if one of the dark ones is to hear it..." Havenlight shook her head. "They wont. I promise." Goldenstar nodded. "Go now. Blazeclan is in for change," her blue eyes glittered as she faded away, leaving a golden willow branch in her place. Havenlight continued on her way through the forest. ~G and h
