Hardcover gift book with surprising depth

Drawing Strength from the Names of the Lord by Catherine Martin is a beautiful gift book with remarkable depth. Martin wrote a terrific Bible study called Trusting in the Names of God, and this is a companion volume filled with stunning natural photography. Each chapter is just a few pages long and focuses on a name of God like Yahweh Rophe, El Ro'i, and Abba. Martin offers personal insight to help readers to connect and understand this aspect of the Lord, along with Bible verses relating to it. She finishes each chapter with a short prayer to God using the chapter's name. For such a slim volume, Martin manages to give readers both fresh insight as well as hope in our Lord. The photography is spectacular views of the best of God's creation. This hardcover book would make a terrific gift for anyone in need of a new look at God.
