Meet the Author

Robert M. Giannetti was born in 1942 in Queens, NY and grew up on Long Island. He has been an Army officer, college teacher, garbage man, and business owner. He currently resides in Lewiston, NY, where he owns and operates Bob’s Olde Books.

Giannetti was a 2003 nominee for Georgia Author of the Year for Drawn by the Creek. In 2009, he was the only American honored with an invitation to the 32nd November of Poetry, an international festival in Poznan, Poland where, with other honorees from Europe and Asia, he gave a series of poetry readings and lectures in academic and community settings. Giannetti was again invited to the November of Poetry Festival in 2011 in conjunction with the U.S. publication of a new book, Winter Vision, and the release of a bilingual edition in Poland.
