So cool the greatest airplane reviewer did a book!

Barry Schiff is the world's greatest airplane reviewer -- [I think he's flown over 300 planes, according to his website] -- and has such a cool and honest insight into each of his pilot reports [mostly writes for AOPA Pilot, now, but I think I've seen his work in several magazines, and a few of his many books]. This guy has been EVERYWHERE, done EVERYTHING with airplanes, from Piper Cub acrobatics to senior jetliner captain at TWA [at the time, the world's largest airline, if I recall right], and held EVERY pilot rating -- incredibly rare. - - - If ANYBODY can give you an authoritative review of an airplane, this MUST be the guy. Yet -- unlike most aviation super-experts, this guy is amazingly modest, and good-natured, and when he writes, he makes you feel like he's your personal buddy sharing personal secrets of his flying life with you, and you alone. I only have a few of his books, but consider every one the best in its class. - - - [With over a hundred aviation books in my library for comparison, I'm an occasional pilot, FAA-cetified aeronautics instructor, and aviation magazine writer, myself. I'm also a judge for the world's leading aviation journalism awards, and an aviation historian who frequently refers to Schiff's magazine articles for expert info -- I have saved many of them in my collection.] - - - In aviation writing, especially in pilots' handbooks or aircraft reviews, Schiff is absolutely the un-matched best. And he has an amazing taste for the most rare and extraordinary flying machines. If you love airplanes, and real pilots' great stories about them, don't pass this up!
