Loaded with hundreds of photographs of high-end custom homes, these gorgeous books are a treat for lovers of residential architecture and a resource for people planning to build their own one-of-a-kind houses. Echoing the fascinating mix of people who call the nation's capital their home, the region's strikingly diverse architecture becomes evident through the broad range of private residences—from ground-up designs to renovations, historical restorations to large-scale additions, and classical Gothic and Victorian styles to chic urban contemporary.

    Dreamer's Homes

“Dream Homes: Greater Washington D.C. is a great book that showcases a wide assortment of stunning homes across Washington D.C. (including parts of Virginia and Maryland). The title does fit the book because it shows images of houses that one can enjoy dreaming about. I intend to actually purchase a house in 2014 within a mile of where I currently live. However, I still found this book beneficial towards this goal because it showed images that I can use as decorating inspiration. All of the houses are photographed in an excellent manner, but the house featured on page 73 caught my attention the most. “Dream Homes: Greater Washington D.C.” is best for those who prefer having a photography book of artistic homes in the D.C. area.
