More About This Book

Overview

Dreamer is a story about a woman who solves the mystery of her mother's death through dream interpretations. In doing so, she liberates herself from the trauma that has haunted her all her life, and grows spiritually as well as emotionally. Despite the serious theme, there are many light moments as the main characters interact with love and humor, and the ending has a surprising twist. The story is part murder-mystery, part new-age exploration of dreams and soul life. The book appeals to mystery fans and opens readers' minds to dream interpretations, lucid dreaming, and soul communications. It also offers comfort and hope for the bereaved, by showing the power of eternal love, and highlighting love connections across dimensions.

About the Authors:

The authors are college professors, married to each other, and avid writers. Dr. Pratibha A. Dabholkar teaches business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Dr. Earl J. Hess teaches history at Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, Tennessee. Both have extensive writing and publication experience, including a large number of books, chapters, journal articles, and conference papers. Their work in their individual fields is widely cited and read, and they have both won several awards for excellence in writing and creativity over the years. Their highest honor is that Dr. Hess's recent book (his sixth), "Pickett's Charge: The Last Attack at Gettysburg," was nominated for the 2002 Pulitzer Prize in History.

Dreamer is their second joint project and second work of fiction. Their first such project is an original and unusual screenplay called Time After Time. Both books were written after the tragic loss of their precious daughter Julie to a vicious form of leukemia. Based on a synergistic and inspired effort, the books represent creative literary fiction that readers will find entertaining as well as enlightening. But most importantly, the books offer comfort and hope to those who have lost a loved one, and intrigue all readers who want to broaden their understanding of eternal love and soul communications.
