Mary does an excellent job of telling the whole story about the rise and fall of The Supremes.

As a long time fan of The Supremes, I was both shocked and extremely interested in this book. Mary Wilson tells what happened behind all of the sequin gowns and the make-up; behind all the smiles and giggles; behind the dream that America (and the world) thought they knew. I recommend this book for anyone who either loves the Supremes or not. Mary, being a founding memeber of the legend, tells just a bit more than the group's present-headliner, Diana Ross, did in her well writen autobiography. You'll also be amazed when you get the info on Mary Wilson's domestic life (i.e. her abusive marriage; her long battle with Motown Records for ownership of the 'Supremes' name). This is truly a legend, as was the music of The Supremes, and it would be smart to buy it now before it disappears.

I thought Mary Wilson did a GREAT job on writing her experiences as a Dreamgirl, to Supreme, to solo. She is a true survivor. She expresses her love for Diana, her memories for Florence and others she lost. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the story of the Supremes.

THIS IS THE BEST BOOK ON THE LEDGENDARY GROUP THE SUPREMES EVER WRITTEN IN MY OPINON. THIS IS TOLD FIRSTHAND BY SUPREME DIVA MARY WILSON. SHE TELLS OF THE FIGHTS AND SCANDELS THAT HAPPENED WITH THE GROUP AND MOTOWN.

memories of a jealous background singer, apparently mary was strapped for cash so she has a Book- Rag written to try and portray herself as a victim. She never got over the fact the supremes like any other group wouldn't go on forever. After 1969 all the fancy clothes and Top Billing and Top Venues were over. I could've saved my money on this one, I've used most of it to line the birdcage
