Dreamkeeper
With the sudden stop of his propellor in flight, Bob Speranza makes an emergency landing in a farm field next to the home of young Christopher. Rushing to aid the downed aviator, Chris dashes through the trees to find the pilot unharmed, standing and looking over his airplane. With the help of Chris and his garage full of tools, Bob is able to return to the air, but before doing so he hands Chris a gift in gratitude for his assistance. The gift, a small silver medallion, holds the key to pursuing Christophers' dreams. Bob's instructions were simple: "Every night just after you say your prayers and before you fall asleep, you hold this Dreamkeeper medallion in your right hand. Then close your eyes and think of your dream. Picture yourself doing exactly what it is you dream of doing. I personally guarantee that, over time, your dream will become your reality."

Take the journey with young Christopher and find the true purpose of the medallion!

Dreamkeeper is the story of one young man's journey toward the life of his dreams. In the pursuit of his life's passion, Christopher faces a series of trials and tribulations that build his character and strengthen his resolve. The life lessons learned stand the test of time and form the building blocks for his entire life.

Dreamkeeper was originally written in 2001 as a book to share some ideas and values with my then 8 year old son. I set out to express some life lessons that might be of value to him as he grew with aviation as the book's backdrop. As I looked at this book for a twentieth anniversary re-write, I found it needed a little tweaking and I updated the scenes to reflect more of a teen and young adult Christopher. I also found that it brought about a reflective quality for me as a more senior professional aviator. It reminded me of what it was like to enjoy those early days of flying, that first solo or the first time you took a loved one aloft. Older aviators will find gratitude and a reflective quality to this book that brings back the reasons they started flying in the first place. For young people this book offers insight and the courage to chase your dreams. Find your passion once again as you join Christopher on his quest. The life lessons and wisdom shared within this little book transcend a single profession and reawaken the dreamer in us all.
