    Beware: Full of mistakes

This book is good in concept but it is filled chock full of errors so that attempting to build on the work in previous chapters in order to realize a final project is nearly impossible and extremely frustrating. The author provides readers with 'final' versions of files from each chapter so that, theoretically, the reader can skip chapters and still complete the project. In reality, however, this does not work smoothly because the 'final' versions of the files are filled with errors and so are unusable in many cases. I made the mistake of choosing this book as the textbook for a Dreamweaver course that I teach and it has been disastrous. Not only are there errors in the files provided, but there are numerous typos and errors in the book. For example, on p. 160, the author asks the reader to open the 'training.htm' file when she actually meant the PDG.dwt template file (as can be concluded by looking carefully at the screen capture of the file). Repeated errors such as this make working on the projects a complete nightmare. I don't understand how this book made it past the editors.
