Overview

Rick Renner's book Dressed To Kill is considered by many to be a true classic on the subject of scriptural warfare. The original version, which sold more than 400,000 copies, is a curriculum staple in Bible schools worldwide. Now, in this new, beautifully bound hardback volume you will find: - 512 pages of reedited text. - 16 pages of full-color illustrations (exclusively available in the hardback version. Not available in eBook). - Questions at the end of each chapter to guide you into deeper study. In Dressed To Kill, Rick explains with exacting detail the purpose and function of each piece of Roman armor. In the process, he describes the significance of our spiritual armor not only to withstand the onslaughts of the enemy and but also to overturn the tendencies of the carnal mind. Furthermore, Rick delivers a clear, scriptural presentation on the biblical definition of spiritual warfare - what it is and what it is not. He stresses, "Your unbroken, ongoing fellowship with God is your absolute guarantee that you are constantly and habitually dressed in the whole armor of God." When you walk with God in deliberate, continual fellowship, He will enrobe you with Himself. Armed with the knowledge of who you are in Him, you will be dressed and dangerous to the works of darkness, unflinching in the face of conflict, and fully equipped to take the offensive and gain mastery over any opposition from your spiritual foe.

Meet the Author

Rick Renner is a highly respected leader and teacher within the global Christian community. Rick first fell in love with the Greek New Testament when studying Journalism and Classical Greek as a university student. In the years that followed, he continued his extensive study of the Greek New Testament, later earning a Doctor of Philosophy in Ministry.

Rick ministered widely throughout the United States for many years before answering God's call in 1991 to move his family to the former Soviet Union and plunge into the heart of its newly emerging Church. Following an apostolic call on his life, Rick works alongside his wife Denise to see the Gospel preached, leadership trained, and the Church established throughout the world.

Today Rick's broadcast "Good News With Rick Renner" can be seen across the entire former USSR, reaching a potential audience of more than 100 million viewers. He has distributed hundreds of thousands of teaching audio and videotapes, and his best-selling books have been translated into five major languages - Spanish, Portuguese, French, Russian, and German - as well as multiple other languages that are spoken throughout the former Soviet Union.

Rick is the founder of the Good News Association of Churches and Ministries, through which he assists and strengthens almost 700 churches in the territory of the former Soviet Union. He also pastors the fast-growing Moscow Good News Church, located in the very heart of Moscow, Russia. Rick Renner Ministries has offices in England, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine, and the United States. Rick, Denise, and their family live in Moscow, Russia.

    I Also Recommend:

Excellent Book for understanding how to deal with spiritual attacks.

After reding this book you will fully understand why Paul used the Roman armor as an illustration for spiritual warfare. You will see how each part is used and realize that it is essential that we stay Armed and Dangerous in this day and age. Rick Renner provides excellent research regarding the history and use of the armor, etymology, and includes informative pictues and illustrations to clarify what he is saying. After reading this book, you will not want to leave home without any element of your spiritual armor. The Bible tells us to put on the armor of God, but no where in the Bible does it tell us to take it off.

Highly recommend for inspiring, indepth study!

This is a fascinating study! I thought I understood Ephesians 6:10-:17 ; but had not even scratched the surface until I read Renner's Dressed to Kill! His knowledge of the original meanings of the Greek text has opened up an entirely new layer of insight. Anyone who is the midst of spiritual warfare (and who isn't these days?) will find God's powerful weapons ready and waiting to be accessed. Rick Renner shows us how!!!

    A must read

I read this book as a morning devotion with my prayer partner. Rick Renner does an excellent jobin breaking down the components of "the weapons" He does it with clarity and effectiveness. To understand the weapons, you have to understand how the roman soldiers used them back in time. He takes you back in time and then brings it forward to how we can use these same weapons to arm ourselves in our daily battle today. Very easy to read, understand and apply

    Highly Recommended

For a person who wants to better understand the armor spoken of in Ephesian 6 this is the book for you. Easy to read with profound truths. Now through the visual images gained from Rick Renner's book I better understand what Paul was saying to Christians.
