Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
The latest in the long-running "200 Q&A" series focuses on garment sewing, with basic coverage of machine sewing, reading and adjusting printed patterns, fitting, and finishing garments. The book is divided into topic-specific chapters, which are color-coded for easy reference, and each subtopic is presented as a question and answer with a photograph or illustration. There are plenty of useful sewing tips, and sewists interested in a particular topic, such as sewing a closure onto a garment, can browse the relevant chapter to learn more about the merits of snaps versus buttons and how to affix each to the garment. VERDICT Like the other series entries, this is a good ready reference, but the coverage of each topic is brief, so the information is just enough to get sewists started.
