Drifting Curtain
A timer ended. A bomb exploded. A friend lost in the cloud of fire and dust. Corporal Damian Hanson awakes to this reality in a hospital in Afghanistan. He is told to forget it. He is told to move on. As a member of an Explosive Ordinance Disposal unit he is expected to deal with it. But he can't. In a swift turn of events Damian goes from wounded soldier to desert vigilante in search of the enemy he does not know. Yet -

A family lost. A distant enemy to blame. The only thing on his mind is vengeance, and the only way to get it is through force. Zahid Al Khatri, a bomb maker and newly discovered Jihadist, is creating chaos to force his enemy into the open. But these two men are now unknowingly intertwined, as the bomb that killed Hanson's friend was made and detonated by Zahid. And so the hunt begins.

In Drifting Curtain, author James S. Leitch makes his debut by telling the story of a struggle between two vengeful men. One having lost a friend and the other a family, the two work their way around obstacles of men and politics, Zahid moving ever nearer to the truth about his family, and Damian only a few steps behind as they play their game of cat and mouse in the war torn country of Afghanistan.
