Like most Americans, I've been drinking wine for years with the desire to know more. The world of wine snobbery is complex, arrogant, and seemingly magical at times (how can wine really taste like linen?). This book was great. It should serve as the wine book for the rest of us. The best aspect of this volume is the tone of the author. He seems to conspire with the reader and against the people who seem to enjoy making the world of grapes incomprehensible. The writing style is both humorous and approachable. The book is also small enough to pack on vacation. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
