Georgiana works as a plumber's apprentice as she studies to take the test to earn her plumber's license. Her mother is marrying real estate mogul Gregory Whitlock and he is building a brand new house for he and his bride. Georgiana's mother has offered to sell her house to her daughter but before that can happen it needs to pass inspection. Georgie knows she can handle the plumbing part of the inspection herself which involves crawling under the house to check the pipes. Imagine her surprise when she is discovers she is not the only body underneath the house. Big problem, the other body is dead and it is her mother's fiancée Gregory Whitlock. Of course the first person suspected of the killing is Georgie's mom and Georgie will be crawling in to more deep dark spaces to try to save her mother from drowning in a bunch of circumstantial evidence to bring the real killer to justice. She also has to keep herself out of hot water so she doesn't end up as another dead body.

Is this the end of the Georgiana Neverall Series? It seemed like it. I loved the first two books in this series so maybe my expectations were set too high. This story just seemed to predictable to me. It was like a cozy mystery light, light on the mystery, light on humor and romance, light on the plot. I hope this is not the end of the series because I know this author can write a good mystery. I love cozy mysteries so it is really hard to write a review for a book that just didn't excite me. I look forward to more offerings by Christy Evans and hope this one was just a fluke that didn't rise to the high bar she set for herself in the first two books in this series.

Rarity realized he couldt be saved as an icy wind formed ice around the black crystals, making it even more impossible for Spike to escape. She ran as fast as she could to Ponyville. She had to tell her friends. But it might already be too late. Rarity didnt even care if it was. She had to save him. Frost formed in her mane. Soon it was covering her, making it harder to run. Soon there was so much snow it was nearly impossible for her to see. Suddenly a crystal sprouted in front of her. Tripping over it, she cut her leg. Falling to the ground, Raritys eyes filled with tears. They froze on her cheeks. After many failed attempts to get up, she saw her own blood, red and frozen beneath her. Her heart pounded. Finally she closed her eyes, thinking it was all over, that all hope was lost. Spike had saved her life, but she couldnt save his. That was her only thought as she closed her eyes. an engaging amateur sleuth mystery

In Pine Ridge, Oregon apprentice plumber Georgiana Neverall of Hickey & Hickey Plumbing is about to buy her mom Sandra's house as her mother moves in with her fiancé. She knows the pipes in the kitchen are galvanized steel, which rusts from the inside out over thirty years so leaks should be the norm. Thus, reluctantly Georgie crawls under the house to inspect the plumbing though she loathes that part of a plumber's job. Instead of drips, she finds the corpse of her mom's fiancé realtor Gregory Whitlock.

Pine Ridge Sheriff Fred Mitchell arrives along with two blue suited paramedics. Soon afterward Fred arrests Sandra. Georgie knows her mom is only guilty of planning to marry "Mr. Too Smooth" and being a lifetime pain in the butt so like a loyal daughter she decides to investigate over the protests of her maybe boyfriend Councilman Wade Montgomery and her BFF Fred's girlfriend Sue Gibbons. With Wade and Sue having her back, she begins digging into the cesspool business practices of the deceased as only a former computer security guru as she was could do. As she unravels Smooth's shaky money scheme, a murderer pursues her while in between her investigation she studies for the plumbing license exam.

Drip Dead is an engaging amateur sleuth mystery as Georgie makes inquires into the deceased's realty business. The spirited wrench turner obviously needs no sleep as balances her mother's fears, a nasty investigation into financial crap and the test. Readers will enjoy Georgie who pulls out much more than just a plumb and her two hesitant teammates as they work a nasty Lead Pipe Cinch case while trying not to fall into a deadly Sink Trap.
