Nicole and Chase have grown up together as next-door neighbors. Now they're high school seniors Nicole hangs out with the popular set, while Chase is known as just another dweeb. But when the guy Nicole expects to escort her to the prom asks someone else, Nicole is left with no date at all. Desperate to go and hoping to make the other guy jealous, Nicole asks Chase to pretend to be her boyfriend. All Nicole has to do is convince him to go along with her plan, and then give them the make-over of a lifetime.

I think this book, in screenplay form, Is good, but not the most exciting I've ever read, still, If you've seen the movie, you'll likely enjoy it.
This is a book about a girl that wants something that she cant get,like all of us.I think the point it that you can want something but not get it and still be happy.
