Drama, drama, drama. This book had me laughing, shouting, and almost in tears. What was Nasir thinking getting envolve with those so called women. I bet now he wish he had never given them the time of day. Loretta, what can I say. With a mother like that you sure do not want any enemies. But the most lovable character in this book is Mom Flossy. I could not get enough of her. I highly recommend this book. I can't wait to start reading At The Court's Mercy.

I loved this book. Ms. Williwms really did an awesome job telling this story. I feel the pain of Nasir trying to do the right thing. It's hard in the hood for a young black man. I couldn't put DRIVEN down. I stayed up just to finish it. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I am rushing out to get part two as soon as I am finished writing this.

Driven is the story of a young man who is unfortunately the product of his environment. The saying, 'A son pays for his father's sins' is an accurate depiction. What can you do when your father dies and your mother goes to jail? You try and survive. Nasirs' plan, but with so many people bringing him drama it becomes impossible to do. Driven is a well told story leaving the reader anxious for the rest.

Ms. Williams has done it again!...After reading this book, I need to know WHAT she has for us to read next. Once more the author has ignited my reader's curiosity...I loved the way she wrote this story on the voice of the Black man and the unfair hand he is dealt in life. The female characters were well represented in every aspect from streetlife to the corporate world. His mother was unbelievable - she couldn't/wouldn't be mine!... This book brought tears, laughter, anger, hate...and had me screaming out loud! My heart broke with Nasir's father had his encounter. The levels of betrayal and lust are taboo. To have a mother love her son so deeply and selfishly, and then to later betray him to the utmost was scandalous!!!...and for what???!!!...and not even giving thought to her own grandchild......fellow readers - don't sleep on this one!...This book is hot and HIGHLY recommended.

Driven is a book I bought for a friend that I became curious about and started to read it. I couldn't put it down and related wholeheartedly to it. I am a single father that have experienced the DRAMA from the mother of my child. It made me love and appreciate my very own mother that supported me through it all. Because of this book I have tried to reestablish a relationship with my father. I love this author's work.

I enjoyed this novel about the struggles of a young black man climbing an uphill battle in life. His mother betrays him, when no one else should. His baby's momma is off the chain, cauing grief when there should be peace. This book will make you cry, laugh, shout and talk out loud. I recommend this book as an eye opener for all to read. It was written very well!
