Overview

A standalone novella introducing a new side of Half Moon Hollow—featuring a freewheeling courier and the stuffy vampire she has to transport.

Miranda Puckett has failed at every job she’s ever had. Her mother just wants her to come home, join the family law firm, and settle down with Jason, the perfect lawyer boyfriend. But when Jason turns out to be a lying cheater, Miranda seizes on a job that gets her out of town: long-distance vampire transportation. Her first assignment is to drive vampire Collin Sutherland from Washington to sleepy Half Moon Hollow without incident—no small feat for a woman whom trouble seems to follow like a faithful hound dog! And she has to do it without letting her passenger—the most persnickety, stuffy, devastatingly handsome vamp she’s ever met—drive her crazy. As she and Collin find disaster on the roads, they also find an undeniable spark between them.  Could Miranda have found the perfect job and the perfect guy for her?

Driving Mr. Dead by Molly Harper This story takes place in the world of Jane Jameson. Miranda is a human with an eclectic background who has taken a job driving vampire Collin Sutherland from Washington to Kentucky. Miranda is basically a reformed free-spirit with cheating fiancé issues. Collin is an aristocratic stick in the mud hermit. Hours on the road with almost slapstick mishaps make for a laugh out loud funny read.

This was just a fun read and no brainier. The dialogue was fun if not a little Juvenal at times but quick read.

This book was cute. I liked the concept of the chauffeur and the vampire very much. I didn't like how the beginning was rather slow and then all of a sudden everything happens in the last 10 pages of the book. So this one is a 3 star.

Loved this book like I did all the other books in this series.

This entire series, along with the novellas, is worth reading. Its fun and engaging and the characters are well done. I've stopped being compulsive and reading an entire series simply because I started it. Too much time and $ involved so it's alway a wonderful surprise to find a series I look forward to reading book after book. Molly Harper is just a great read.

Very funny read. Miranda is a vampire courier, and trouble follows her. Before she even picks up her client she starts having trouble, she gets hit by a chicken. She's late to pick up her client, Collin, and he's uptight and grumpy normally. She has a 16 page contract to follow (it states the music that can be played, where & when she may stop, food & drink allowed in the car, etc), a ex-fiance calling her (& butt dialing her) and her mother calling her constantly. Collin gets mugged, the car gest vandalized, the car goes over a cliff, and through all this Miranda & Collin grow closer. Towards the end Dick from the Jane Jameson series shows up and he gives them a ride. Plenty of laughs in this adventure. Would like to see more of these characters, maybe even mixed into the Jane Jameson series.

A very amusing novella that helped fill in Miranda's back story instead of just being a side character in the main books.
