“Linda Howard is a superbly original storyteller.”
–Iris Johansen
Blair Mallory has already survived one murder attempt. Now, while planning her wedding and dealing with holiday-season madness, Blair once again dodges a bullet. Or more precisely, a Buick. And though the driver’s identity remains a mystery, his or her murderous intentions are all too clear.
Or are they? After all, Blair’s homicidal ex-husband and his partner in crime/wife are safely behind bars. And even Wyatt Bloodsworth, her police detective groom-to-be, isn’t inclined to believe she’s being targeted again. All of which makes Blair wonder if her close call was simply a mishap. But the wondering stops when she narrowly cheats death again in another seemingly innocent accident. Two strikes is all it takes to convince Blair that she’s back in someone’s crosshairs. And the only thing more frightening is that Wyatt still doubts her. That means this time, no one will be watching Blair’s back when she sets out to get the drop on her would-be killer–before whoever it is finally drops her.

I just have to say the 2 books w/ Blair and Wyatt are the best I have ever read. If you don't like these all I can say is you must not have a very good sense of humor. I hope Ms. Howard continues the series.

Very, very boring. I found myself skipping ahead to see if there was anything of value to read. I was so sick and tired of reading about Blairs thoughts. Her thoughts were so DUMB it was very annoying. This author can write really great books, to bad this was not one of them.

Some of the other fans remark on how poorly written 'Drop Dead Gorgeous' is, but neglect to realize that this novel is a different kind of story than Howard's other works like 'Killing Time,' or 'Now You See Her.' Funny, cute, and adorable characters that are an absolute joy to read are all too rare. To the future reader, I would disregard the negative comments, and highly recommend this novel.

It's a keeper, but I was somewhat disappointed. 'To Die For' was outstanding and original. This sequel assumed that the reader knew too much about the characters and their backgrounds. Blair's narrative was inconsistant, ranging from laugh-out-loud hysterical to ho-hum. I liked the Sally/Jazz sub-plot, as it added another dimension to the somewhat predictable stalker plot.

I love linda howard's earlier books, but her last few have been highly disappointing. Her blair character at times could be funny and refreshing, for the most part she's just comes across as a whiny bimbo. I finish the book because i thought it would get better and because its a linda howard book, however i found myself skipping lines and just glancing at the words to an anti climatic ending. The next time howard writes a book, i'll get it from the library and not waste my money

If you've read Ms. Howard's earlier books like, Now You See Her, you will be stunned at how poorly this book is written. It was so boring and predictable, that I put it down several times before I finally finished it. I guess this is why I didn't recall the previous book, To Die For---it wasn't that memorable, either.

I am an avid Linda Howard fan, but she seems to be losing her touch. This book was poorly written, with a by the formula plot line, very little suspense, and a poor romantic plotline. I have only a limited amount of money to spend on books and have ALWAYS bought whatever this author published, but I will not do so in the future.

I loved both books of this series. The characters are so funny, especially Blair! I really hope she writes more books about this family, maybe Blair's sisters?

I love it when I can read another book about someone as funny as Blair. You can't help but love her and Wyatt. I have become a real Linda Howard fan.

I read this book first not knowing at the time it was the second in the series of two. I almost wet my pant it was so funny and b/c I didn't want to put it down long enough to go to the bathroom. I don't want to write about the book story line b/c really it take a backseat to the fights between Blair and Wyatt. A must read for anyone who love to laugh and wants some ideas for the war between sexes.

second book with these same characters. The only thing that could have
been better is if something could have happened to make Wyatt a little more worried. Overall it was a definite page turner.

I loved this one as much as To Die For (the first in the series). Blair is once again hilarious, and Wyatt is still hot hot hot. I was so upset when he got mad at her the way he did, but he knew just how to go about getting her back. While I kind of guessed who the stalker might be, it didn't take anything away from the story. I can't seem to get enough of these two, and hope there are more books in this series. I would love to read about them going through Blair's pregnancy and having a baby!

I must disagree with all the negative comments. It was extremely enjoyable to watch the characters evole after the 'just coupled' stage. Blair is still hilarious and has got some major backbone, which is always refreshing in the world of romance. Wyatt is still hot, and, well, what more do we need to say?!?! Well developed characters that you never lose sight of who they are, and though the plot was maybe a little pridictable, one can still enjoy the way LH goes about that predictability.

WHAT, did they have trouble editing and decide to make two books from one story! For a boring book, the writing is still good and she's got a wicked sense of humor! But this book is a sell out, sick attempt to suck more $$$ from fans. I was SO disappointed in that. Save your $$$ and check out the book @ the library! The story is SO LAME, I can't even find the words that's how you know its just an attempt at some sick marketing ploy some idiot thought up and Linda Howard went along with. She's so much better than that. Obviously, her talent, her 'artistry' doesn't mean anything to her and that's sad to me because she's been a favorite (because she IS talented!).

Blair Mallory has already survived attempts on her life. In fact, that is what brought Police Lieutenant Wyatt Bloodsworth back into her life. Wyatt drives her crazy, in various good and bad ways. Now he has tired of waiting for Blair to set a date and has thrown down a gauntlet. Blair has exactly thirty days to wed him or he will kidnap her to Vegas for a tacky wedding. Blair knows he means it too. So she is now racing all over the place, trying to get everything set up. Even with the help of her family and friends, there just does not seem to be enough time to coordinate her dream wedding. To make matters worse, someone tries to run over Blair while she is walking out of the mall with her wedding shoes (and a few other items she simply HAD to have, of course). She also believes that someone is following her car often. Wyatt believes Blair is making a mountain out of a mole hill. Okay, so Blair may be a drama queen at times, she may be high maintenance all the time, and she certainly demands Wyatt's full attention if he is not dealing with something truly important such as his work. But Blair just knows that she is on someone's hit list again and it is frustrating not to be believed by her own fiancé! But when Blair's stalker gets really serious, even Wyatt has to admit that Blair has managed to tick someone off...again. Wyatt better get busy, because Blair is writing up her own list of grievances against Wyatt and making sure everyone knows them! **** Blair Mallory and Wyatt Bloodsworth starred in a previous novel titled 'TO DIE FOR'. If you read and enjoyed it, then you are bound to love this one! Wyatt is still a hunk and very serious about work as a cop. Blair is still gorgeous and totally hilarious. Both still love to push each other's buttons. All-in-all, it blends together for a dangerous and hilarious ride on the wild side. In my opinion, it is too easy to figure out who the stalker must be however, readers will have a fun time just watching everything happen. A wonderful novel for the Christmas season especially. ****

Though I didn't think it was at good as To Die For, I loved this book. Blair is hilarious and her chemisty with Wyatt makes for a steamy read! I hope she writes another about their relationship after the marriage!

If you liked To Die For, you'll enjoy this sequel. I don't agree with the negative comments. Blair is a trip, and Wyatt is her perfect match. She's high maintenance alright, and he's more that up for the task. Even when she's complaining - she never claims or acts like she doesn't adore him and that's refreshing. Some heroines take that act too far. The dialog is funny, the plot keeps the pages turning, and the ending is very good. I'd like to see more books with these characters - especially Blair's sisters. Don't miss this.
