Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Duck and Sheep are an unlikely pair, especially since ducks are usually not very large and waddle on two webbed feet while sheep are large and travel on four legs. It does not seem to matter in this story of friendship. Mr. Duck sets of in his red truck and picks up Sheep who appears to be having a mug of tea in his caravan/trailer. Off they head to the sea towing Sheep's trailer home. Once there Duck takes command of a boat and off they go for a wild ride. Sheep is not meant to be at sea and he is not happy, so they head back to shore and enjoy their picnic in Sheep's trailer. It was an exciting day and it ends with Duck heading off home in his little red truck. The pictures are amusing and the text flows smoothly when read aloud. This board book should be quite popular since it follows the success of the earlier picture book. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
