While it lacks some of the emotional depth of the novelization, the cinematic style of Tim Seely, does a fairly nice job of bringing Drizzt, Guen, and the Drow to life. The best part of the book comes in sorjourn, when he leaves Menzoberanzan. The story speeds up and you start to see Drizzt develop. A great read and nice supplement. I still recommend you read the Collected version. This is where the Legend of Drizzt began...This is his origin. Enjoy.
