The monumental struggle of counterterrorism agent Jack Bauer Kiefer Sutherland became titillating water-cooler fodder, as he sifted through a complex web of kidnapping, assassination, and conspiracy week after week. The controversial finale to the debut season if you don’t know it, we’re not telling still has fans abuzz with disbelief. This six-disc collection contains all 24 first-season episodes, including an alternate ending to the season finale, plus an introduction from Sutherland.     The first season of 24 - Great Start

    The first season of 24 established the theme, the pace, the excitement, and the pattern for all follow on seasons.

    It was extremely exciting and fast paced. It is amazing how long 24 hours can seem when you are sitting on the edge of your seat anticipating the next move. Key characters are kidnapped and raped. You development such strong attachments to the characters in this format, ultimately to find out they are working for the other side.

    There are numerous twists and turns, some wihare are exciting and some which are frustrating.

    I highly recommend the First Season of 24. I intend to continue to buy and watch each season. It is very difficult to catch every show of an entire season on prime time. Having the DVD pack is much more convenient and simply better.

    Buy it and enjoy it!

    A good beginning for a exceptional series.

    I enjoyed the beginning of this exceptional series. Unfortunately, I wanted to fast forward through several episodes because they were predictable (Kim was going to do something very stupid to get herself deeper into trouble) and highly unrealistic (no teenager could be that gullible). However, the ending was unexpected and yet necessary to set up the subsequent seasons' story lines.

    AMAZING SERIES

    24 is one of the best shows on TV. Season one is full of unique twists and surprises. You wont be disappointed.

    Great opportunity squandered.

    Let me start by saying that 24 started brilliantly. I love spy shows/movies so I was really excited to see this show and the first third of the season didn't disappoint. After that though it went downhill fast. Characters started behaving with such stupidity and pettiness that I found them bordering on comical (dont even get me started on the daughter). The villians were unreservedly evil and completely one-dimensional and there were so many plot twists that you could tell that, as the season was winding down, the writers were running out of ideas. At one point about two thirds of the way through I just turned the show off in the middle of the episode put the disc back in the mail and took the rest of the season off my netflix.
