After seeing this documentary/movie, I can better understand why it is not possible for the United states to support Tibet in what has happened to it. Becoz of this documentary, I can better understand what China is doing to Tibet, what is happening in Israel with the Jews & Palestinians, what the British or the French or Dutch attempted with India, Africa and so on. This documentary reflects the struggle of any race that has embraced freedom. It reflects humanity's thrist to share, to be free and also, the inherent potential to destroy, to squander and be ungrateful. The journey in these DVDs reflects all of us thru the images & voices of the Native Indians! The wisdom that has been lost may be gone, but thru this documentary we learn about the "lifes" that was lived by our ancestors and we can come to terms for a better tomoro where there is more trust, more love and once again wisdom can show us to live fully!

I grew up in Kansas with the standard 1950's American history renditions of the colonization of the Americas. It was history delivered like a fundamentalist sermon that allowed no discussion, no questioning. A set of facts in a few paragraphs that never came close to the complexities, the beauty and fullness of the peoples before the Europeans. Much like the Celtic history of Europe before the Romans, Native American tribes had trade, math, civilizations, democracies, art, industries, rich oral traditions and customs that honored each other and the earth. Much of what was known and practiced died out from disease, extermination and treachery among other European imports. We newer peoples could well learn from what the Native Americans. This series is magnificent from the perspective of a descendent of those invader/settlers. And I want to know more, I would like to hear from the descendants of the native peoples; what would they add? What are their stories? It is time for a dialog, time to hear what the native peoples have to say about how to live and for that we will all be enriched.
