    Funny, Creative

Vanessa Williams is excellent in the role of as a diva who has stomped her way to the top by backstabbing back-up singers, being cruel to her manager, and cheap with her roadies. Then comes Christmas Eve and she gets a much needed wake up call. Mariah Carey and Diana Ross beware...

    Dreaming of an Ebony Christmas

Even though Christmas is over this movie is excellent for any time of the year. The musical comedy stars Vanessa Williams as Ebony Scrooge, a pop singer who hates Christmas and people, (except her manager Bob Cratchett.) Chilli is excellent as Marli Jacobs, a former back-up singer and friend of Ebony's. On Christmas Eve Marli shows up (as a ghost and warns Ebony that she will be haunted by 3 spirits who will save her soul. As the 3 ghosts Kathy Griffin, John Taylor, and VH1's Behind the Music are funny, zany, and serious. Bottom Line: Rent it, (yule like it,) buy it!

    A Diva's Christmas Carol

I love this movie! Vanessa Williams shines as Ebony Scrooge, a miserly, spoiled rotten singer who, over the course of many years has forgotten the meaning of Christmas. On Christmas Eve, she is visited by 3 unique spirits made up of John Taylor (Duran Duran), Kathy Griffin (she was hysterical in this movie and the Ghost of Christmas Past), and a unique, and entertaining version of the Ghost of Christmas yet to Come (ingenious). This movie is a must have for any time of the year!
