Brian Helgeland rocked the medieval world with this knightly tale that combined jousting and romance with a modern music score. Presented in Anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, this DVD captures the snap, crackle, and pop of each lancing blow. The story of a squire "changing his stars" by impersonating a nobleman so he could compete in tournaments was one that brewed in Helgeland's head for a number of years before he finally put it to paper in one month's time. His years of research then allowed him to do the unlikely -- give tiny, enhancing details to a big-scale film. These facts and more can be found on the DVD, a disc that not only provides great insight into Helgeland's method and process, but allows fans to take a closer look at one of the things that made this such an entertaining film: the action and jousting sequences. (Who imagined there was pasta inside those lances to make them splinter especially well?) Features include commentary by Helgeland and his good friend, the oft-naked Paul Bettany, as well as 11 behind-the-scenes featurettes, six deleted scenes with the filmmaker's introduction (check out the one with Chaucer's wife), an HBO "making of" special, Queen and Robbie Williams' "We Are the Champions" video, filmographies, and theatrical trailers for A Knight's Tale and Final Fantasy.

This movie was very fun to watch, and the music was great. It kept me lauging the whole time. Especially when Heath Ledger was learning to dance and then seeing him dance at the ball.
It's a good movie, and Jocelyn and her maid are two of the hottest freakin' girls I've ever seen.
First off, it's a movie, not a documentary, so relax and go with the flow. After you do that, I think you'll love this movie. It has good looking people, a fun soundtrack and plenty of action from start to finish. It also has that cool, trendy feel to it that I like so much. Varsity Blues is one of my favorite movies and the carefree, good feeling I had at the end of that, I had at the end of this as well. It's one you want to own. It's going to fit in great with my Adam Sandler collection, Varsity Blues, American Pie, the Matrix, Braveheart, Gone in 60 Seconds... you get the point. That's the type of movie it is.
This was the best film I have ever seen. I love it when Heath Ledger dances to my favourite song ever, David Bowie Golden years. The only thing wrong with it is that Shannon Sossamon is very wooden. I loved Paul Bettany, Alan Tudyk and Mark Addy. The soundtrack rocks, I bought it as soon as i had seen the film. You must see it!!
I loved how this movie realated present day with the past. It was really upbeat and had constant action. The music mde you feel as if you were there with the crowd at the jousing matches! Also he knights are really cute!
I loved it the movies great in everyway the clothes the style the actors the most. Shannyn sossamon is the best any movies good if shes in it.
this is a really complete movie, with: action, love, friendship, honor, bad, etc...it likes me a lot!!
Heath Ledger is a great actor, my favourite actor.A knights tale is great you must watch it!!!! It is so funny with William's(Heath Ledger)friends teach him how to fight in the tourniment. You must watch it!!!! You must buy it !!!!
A Knight's Tale is a funny movie. While it is not historically correct, with the music and some of the lines it is very funny. Heath Ledger plays William Thatcher, a peasant squire that pretends to be a knight so that he could compete in the joust. He tries to hid his true identity.
This is my favorite movie, I glued my eyes to the damn screen again and again- THIS IS A MUST SEE!
A Knight's Tale is my favorite movie with Heath Ledger.I have only seen ''A Knight's Tale'',''The Patriot'',and ''The Four Feathers''.
You should buy this.
A lot of humor-not at all what you would think a 50 year old would like, huh? Well I have watched this three times now. And the music is just fantastic !
This movie is heart warming and fun. This movie was soo good i can't even begin to explain how good it is. You must see it.
Adaptation of Chaucer's 'Cantenbury Tales' set with modern values, fashion, and music. Why set it in Medieval times then? Between people wearing lampshades and other modern garnments to seeing serfs dance to Queen and other modern tunes I just had to turn this farce of a movie off. Don't waste your time.
Heath Ledger is such so hott!! I loved this movie so much. The modern times is so entertaining. A must see!
This movie was great and upbeat. The only problem was a few glaring inaccuracies. For one, the wood used on the jousting sticks was obviously California Red Wood and California had not even been invented yet. Another problem was they had no stylists back then that could make someone as hot as Heath Ledger is.
