Death and mayhem follow the kids of Elm Street like an overcast cloud in A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, the fifth entry in this popular horror series. New Line has done a good job on this 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. Also included on this disc is a pan-and-scan version of the film. New Line has done a good job on this 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. Also included on this disc is a pan-and-scan version of the film. This is a very nice-looking transfer with colors and black levels all looking well saturated and even. The only flaw that shows up in a few scenes is a small amount of grain or dirt. The audio is presented in a newly remixed 5.1 soundtrack (as well as the original 2.0 soundtrack). This new mix works great in the confines of the film, utilizing surround sounds on many scary occasions. All aspects of the dialogue, effects, and music are free of any excessive distortion or hiss. Also included on this disc are English captions. The only extra features available on this edition of A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child are some cast and crew bios, the original theatrical trailer, and some DVD-ROM content. While the video and audio portions of the disc are good, the box set of all seven films is recommended for true fans.

    AWESOME

This movie was great. It kind of made you think a bit ya know on how Freddy was doing this and killing these people while they were awake in a way. But it kind of made it physcological also. The guy that played Mark (Joe Seely) is a major hottie. I watch this movie just for him most the time but it is a good thriller will lots of great effects to keep you glued to the tv.

    IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Freddy Krueger(Robert Englund)returns to deliver a whole new breed of terror in his 5th movie! Unable to kill the DREAM MASTER who vanquished him in A Nightmare on Elm. Street 4,Freddy haunts the innocent dreams of her unborn baby and preys upon her freinds with sheer horror.Alice(Lisa Wilcox)must save her baby and herself from the clutches of the evil Freddy Krueger. Will the unborn child be saved from becoming Freddy's newest weapon or will the killer again resurrect his legacy of evil?I think this movie was a pretty good installment to the Nightmare series,I just don't a little of the story,Would have given it 5 if i wasn't for a little part of the movie.Rated R for gory violence, language, adult content, and brief nude.
