I saw this on PBS this morning and am interested in getting the DVD. As a child we used to travel the old Highway 40 through California to where we went on to Highway 30 on our way to Michigan to see my mother's family. This show brought back memories of traveling across Donner Pass, even the construction of Interstate Highway 80, crossing the Bonneville Salt Flats, snow in Nebraska in the month of June. The review by Anonymous saying that "it would have been easier to follow had the video followed a more linear progression of the highway and its highlights and points of interest" is true, but as part of my family's history, I still would like to get this.

The idea of stimulating interest in the Lincloln Highway was accomplished. But, the organization of the material was somewhat haphazard. It would have been easier to follow had the video followed a more linear progression of the highway and its highlights and points of interest from east to west or the reverse. That is the way that most people would travel the highway even if only isolated segments at a time.
