Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Cree McCree
"You know what would be amazing? If Felicity were recruited by the CIA and sent on these crazy kick-ass missions." Sound far-fetched? Not if you're Felicity creator J. J. Abrams, who spun that daft idea into Alias, a spy-fi fantasy with more gizmos than James Bond and more plot twists than The X-Files. Felicity alumnus Jennifer Garner stars as wham-bam vixen Sydney Bristow, a grad student who moonlights as a double agent. Sent by the CIA to infiltrate SD-6, a nefarious global cabal, Sydney's got espionage in her blood: Her estranged father, Jack Barstow Victor Garber, plays the spy-versus-spy game on his daughter¹s side or does he?, while her presumed-dead mother pledged allegiance to the KGB. This dysfunctional family saga adds another layer to the tangle of subplots, which date back to the 15th century and a mysterious inventor named Rambaldi. Smart scripts and clever pacing earned Alias 11 Emmy nominations straight out of the gate. But it's the dazzling pyrotechnics -- and Garner's drop-dead outfits -- that made Alias must-see TV for the hipster set. Guest-star turns by such icons of cool as Quentin Tarantino, Roger Moore, and real-life hacker and convicted felon Kevin Mitnick boost Season 1's cult status. Gearheads also have cause to rejoice: DVD extras include Marshall Finkman's gadget gallery, which displays whiz-bang inventions like a camera disguised as lipstick and a cell phone that reads fingerprints.

    The BEST spy show ever!!!

Jennifer Garner does an amazing job. She makes being a "Spy" look easy and sexy. This show is unbelievable. The best spy show ever made. Once you finish season one, you have to get the rest of the series.

    BEST SERIES EVER

Jennifer Garner is PERFECT in this season, as well as the other four seasons. It will be a shame when the series ends in May 2006.

    first female Bond!

what could I say about this show that not been said before? This show is stylish and it reminds me of the X-files in quality(back when the X-files were good)What I like most about this show is the heroine and the actress who plays her! I also love the Locals that are shown in the series and violent action sequences and shocking pot twists are first-rate.Alias has it all: a sexy and resourceful heroine, lots of intrigue and deception where nothing is what it seems! I really believe the makers of the Bond films could use the writers of this show in creating plots.

    This is my favorite show!!

I started to watch Alias when the show first aired on ABC. From that Sunday on I could not miss a show, in fact I have not missed a show. It's one of the most underated shows on T.V. today. I personally believe that everyone should watch Alias. Its got drama, action and suspense all in about an hour a show. Its great.

    Alias is the Bomb

I started watching Alias a few weeks ago after I read all of its prequels and I must say that it is amazing! It is now one of my all time favorite shows. As soon as I got home from my last vacation, I rented the first and second season and watched it all! It is adicting and always leaves you hanging, but in the end, you always get what you want to happen.

    Breathtaking, AMAZING, ALIAS RULES

Alias is the best show on this planet. I am an Australian and I tell you ALIAS is one of my favourtie American shows. Before Alias came along Dark Angel was my fav. We all know its gone but ALIAS has just wiped the slate clean. I cannot believe how amazing every single episode is. You cannot just watch one episode if you haven't watched it from the start. You'd be like wah? So that's why people go out and rent all the ep's. If you haven't. DO IT@! Watching them over and over doesn't effect the excitement. I am a true ALIAS fan and I will never die.`

    alias lover

alias is such a unique and entertaining show...it portrays suspense, love, lust, hatred, anger, embarrassment, intensity, intelligence, and has an aura that just lures people into the show...its hardcore plot and twisting everything can never be predicted *which is oh so hard to do* the characters were casted perfectly and i wouldn't change one thing about the show...just watch it.

    ALIAS

My friends and I make a point of never missing an episode of Alias - and for good reason. The expertise and proficiency which all of the cast portray their characters has captivated us and we can't escape. It is from my heart when I say on behalf of all my friends and myself: We LOVE Alias and don't know what we will ever do without it; thanks guys!

Pick the Chick who can Kick

OK, have you EVER seen a critique log on one of these sites where EVERYONE gave it 5 stars? I think that says a lot for this show. Its nice to see a TV show that's written like movie serials of days past, where you HAVE TO SEE every single episode, or you have withdrawl symptoms. Good Grief! I had my work schedule changed so i could watch it!

Alias: The Only Show I Watch on T.V.

I started watching Alias half-way through the first season. Although it took me a while to get caught up, now I'm completely hooked. I have not missed an episode since the first one I saw, but when the boxed set came out, I knew I just had to have it. For six DVDs, it is surprisingly cheap. Perfect for any Alias fan.
