i've been looking for this movie for as long as i can remember. I still have it on vhs recorded off the television! The tape is dying, but it's still somewhat visible, by far my favourite movie of all time.

I had a VHS recording that I taped shortly after this movie first aired and I watched it endlessly as a child. This is one of the most complete and well done adaptations of the classic novel. I'm so glad that it is being released for future generations to enjoy and also so I can replace my no longer viewable version.

I have loved this virsion of Alice in Wonderland since I first saw it. I have the VHS that came out years ago but was waiting for the DVD. Now all we need is "Alice Through the Looking Glass" to go with it!

This is a GREAT version of Alice in Wonderland. We recorded it from TV on a Beta tape (how's that for old?!) and I wore it out. I have been searching for this version ever since! I hope they release the 2nd half (through the looking glass) soon be/c it is a must have also.

I had this movie as a child and wanted to get it for my own kids...I couldn't find it anywhere and when I found it on Barnes and Noble.com I was thrilled! I ordered it immediately and couldn't wait to watch it with my kids. It doesnt have all the new "special" effects of today's movies but my kids (ages 9-5) absolutely LOVED it! I would recommed this movie 100 times over!

I remember watching this movie when I was growing up at least twice a week. I knew all the songs by heart, and could even act out most of the scenes. Sadly, a couple of months ago, I wanted to delve back into my childhood, so I popped in my very old, very meager copy of the movie and my VCR destroyed it! I was devastated! I'm so glad to have found a place where I can get a fresh copy so I can continue to enjoy this great wonder for years to come!

I watched this movie in the 3rd grade when it was on TV for the first time - well actually my parents taped it and I had to watch it the next day b/c it was on past my bedtime. Well, it's a good thing they taped it b/c my sister and I watched it about a million times and acted out scenes! They still have the tape, but I am thinking of getting my own copy. Kids will LOVE it.

This version had been broadcasted before I was born. However, at the age of five, I started watching a recorded tape of it my Mom had made. I watched it for five more years, loving it every time. However, when I was ten, my destructive five year old brother ruined the tape. For three years, my Mom kept telling me it was a ''Made-for-TV'' movie, and that I would not be able to find it. Well, three years later, after giving up hope over the years, was checking out the Barnes & Noble Site. Just for the heck of it, I typed in Alice in Wonderland in the VHS section, and there it is! I can't put in words what joy and excitment came over me! This film is absolutely heart-warming, and your family would treasure it for years. If your kids have not seen it yet, I urge you to get this wonderful video for them! I garuntee they will love it! I'm 13 and STILL love it!

There are few redeeming qualities to this made-for-television version. The cast is made up primarily of 1960s & 1970's T.V. "has-beens," and the musical numbers are to distraction. While filmed and televised in 1985, it looks more akin to bad 1970s fair. The costumes and acting spark bad memories of low-budget, grammar-school performances. On a more positive note, Natalie Gregory did a not-so-bad job as Alice, and the scenery is engaging and fanciful.
