For starters, I know there are tons of haters out there, but it is unfounded. They are expecting something from this movie that should not be expected. What this movie offers is loads of action, the amazing combination of the Predator and Alien franchises for the first time, and some excellent thrills throughout. Yes, it starts a little slow, yes the actors aren't going to win awards, but regardless of all of that, we are all just wanting to see Predators fight Aliens right?

AVP is the best film ever. The action is non-stop, the characters seem real, and the aliens are nothing short of incredible. I strongly recommend that you watch this film. Don’t listen to the people that don’t like it. There just jealous that this film is cool and they watch films like Doctor Zhilvago or The Big Sleep. You’ll love this film!

This movie really only serves two purposes: 1" curing insomnia while you are waiting for the battle to start 2" using the DVD as a frisbee with your Chihuahua dog This movie was pure garbage through and through. Only a person who is a sucker for thrillers would like this and yet be dissapointed. There is absolutely no real story, suprisingly little suspense in the way where are the Aliens. The characters are shallow, wooden, and stiff so much that you are sorry that they are not killed off altogether. This movie read like a movie adaptation of a dime novel because the plot was predictable, characters shallow, and absolutely mindless

I'm not the world's biggest Alien fan, but even I could tell that this was a slap to the face of the whole Alien franchise. Who decided that this was going to be PG-13? None of the Alien OR Predator movies were PG-13 and for the actual battle to, you know, not suck, the violence and gore need to be prevalant. The humans were of no help to this movie either. The characters were shallow, and I did not have any emotions towards them, making my movie experience boring. I heard rumors of a sequel...I hope to GOD they read this review and at least decide to up the rating.

And you thought Alien: Resurrection was bad. Wait till you get a load of this movie. First of all, you know when you mix greatness with greatness that it will probably be a dud. Freddy Vs. Jason, Alien, Vs. Predator, The Jetsons meet the Flinstones. Ok, maybe not. But the way this movie was brought together was purely for advertisings sake. Not for people who want to watch a good movie. Oh, and do you remember Resident Evil: Apacolypse? Yep, he ruined that movie, too. This movies not even worth your time or money. I really wish that movie producers would sit down and watch the movies their producing and say, "hey, this movie is well worth people's time", or "hey, this movie is garbage, let's trash it and start over or do something else."

This film was so predictable, it was just sad. I'm a Predator and Aliens fan, and this movie doesn't do justice to either one. The idea of an underground pyramid was kind of cool, but the whole thing felt too contrived. Like another poster said, stick to the originals because you won't get a lot of satisfaction out of this film.

Bad story, bad script, charachters you couldnt give a dang about, and the best part of the entire movie can be seen in the trailor. I was really impressed how the director was able to take two awesome comic booc charachters and completely destroy them both...amazing. Avoid this movie, and the director's movies, like the plague.

Being a predator and alien fan (mostly predator). When I first heard about this movie I was so excited. My mom wanted to see it also. But once we got the movie it was awful! The plot was awful! The acting was awful! The Diologue was wooden! And that fighting scene between the alien and the predator was only like a minute! Were was Shwartzaneger? Were is Sigourny Weaver? Were is Danny Glover? Arnold could of takan some time off and played in it. Well actually I can see now why they didn't take there usual roles. Pretty smart of you three. Plus the film was really short. And how could the queen alien survived when it was thrown into space at the end of the second movie? I could tell right away this was a low-budget movie. And there was that annoying actress who survived! I thougt the Italion guy would survive too. It was stupid when a predator almost killed one of the explorers and the predator looked through him, to notice he had problems with his heart and the predator walked away. Then the idiot who could have gotten away alive said "Come back here!" And what does the predator do afther that? He kills him! The end of the movie was really mest up when an alien/predator came bursting right out of the dead predator's stomach! Oops- am I spoiling it for u if u haven't seen this movie before? Well good becuase u shouldn't buy this movie not even rent it, it is a waste of 80 minutes of your time and your money. And what really shocked me was that the main character said the F-word in a PG-13 movie, u don't axpect that. What's next, the D-word in a rated G movie. Be on the look out parents if this directer directs the next Winne the Pooh movie. Everybody said this was so cool. (But everyone has different taste). But then the reason I gave it a 2 star because there was some actin parts that were cool. This movie was a disgrace to 20th Century Fox. And probably alot of kicks and laughs out of George Lucas. But nobody can do a sc-fi movie like George . Now the movie is just sitting in my living room cabinet never been touched since then and never will be touched again!

OK, the dark photography and the loud soundtrack of this movie are just amazing, but the films lacks the energy, horror and the smart gore of 'Predator' or the suspense, creativity and terror of 'Alien', or just the spirit of 'Rambo in space' of 'Aliens'. The screenwriter has done an awful work with this movie (how much has he paid for this awful plot????) Recommended for a boring Sunday morning, but not much more.

Okay, so this movie wasn't as bad as some people made it out to be. Being a big fan of the Alien series, I know it really doesn't follow established canon but I liked it. And Sanaa Lathan is very easy on the eyes.

I think this AVP movie should not have been made (yet). I wanna know how and why the ship with the spacejockey crashed on that planet in the first place in ALIEN,and where those eggs came from? FOX Should pay R.Scott what he wants to Direct another ALIEN,let's find out the Back story to ALIEN SPACEJOCKEY? the first PEDATOR movie is the best in that series althought P2 I would've brung back Dutch with another special forces unit in another south eastern jungle to investigate a crash site the villagers went to check out,and are disappering athought Dutch know's, he will not tell his men until he was shure of the killings, this time theres more then one,-------->AVP (i'll be back) A.S

While this film can't stand up to the sheer creativity, suspense and terror of the original ALIEN or PREDATOR, or for that matter ALIENS or PREDATOR II, it's fairly well done. It's certainly not as bad (as the name might imply) as GODZILLA MEETS RODAN or even the inane ALIEN III. And the ending (Mama Predator spiraling down into the depths of the ocean's black abyss) leaves open the possibility for yet another sequel! We'll see. The gene pool of the Human Race will not suffer too much from this one as it may have already done so with BEACH BLANKET BINGO or BEDTIME FOR BONZO. Watch it! It's a kick!

This is one bad film. People saying that this was a good film is indicative of what is this nation is becoming. 'It does the sheep no good to preach the goodness of a diet of grass if the wolves are of a different mind.'

I didn't go into Alien vs. Predator expecting too much... so I came out fairly unscathed by my experience. This movie actually had a 'couple' cool moments for me... but overall ended up being much too short on actual Aliens fighting Predators and far to short on good plot. The overall run time of the film was too short as well... more time could have been used to set up a better story line for sure. This film is also very inconsistent with it's source material most notably on the 'Alien' side... as Aliens actually take much longer to gestate and mature... this movie had them full size in about 15 minutes after face hugger contact... way out of line with the first two excellent Alien films. But for some silly no brainer fun... it was ok... but... not great for me.

I will start by saying that I am a big fan of the original Alien and Predator series. I tried not being skeptical when I noticed that Paul Anderson was directing it. His previous movies 'Event Horizon' and 'Resident Evil' were examples of his past achievements. The introduction to the characters was very dry. The acting was very close to a B rated movie. The creature cinematography during fight scenes needed improvement. All that you can be seen during the close fighting scenes are the heads of the creatures. There should of been more focus on the creatures and there abilities since that is what the movie is supposed to be about. On a better note, Paul Anderson did stick close to the original idea created by 'Dark Horse Comics'. The creatures were great to see together on a big screen. When the creatures can be scene actually fighting, the scene was good. I give it two stars because I like both the creatures.
