Overview

Alvin, Simon, and Theodore are back in director Tim Hill's computer-animation/live-action hybrid following the further adventures of the world's most adorable singing trio. Songwriter Dave Seville (Jason Lee) has been struggling to gain recognition in the music industry for some time, and despite the fact that his former college roommate (David Cross) is now a high-profile powerbroker at Jett Records, Dave still can't manage to get a break. Things soon start to look up, however, when Dave discovers three singing chipmunks hiding out in the branches of a Christmas tree in Jett Records' world headquarters. Realizing that these woodland crooners cold prove to be his ticket to the big time, Dave does his best to transform Alvin (Justin Long), Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler), and Theodore (Jesse McCartney) into the next great pop sensation. As adorable and talented as they may be, though, these bouncy little critters aren't quite domesticated just yet; they still have a wild streak in them a mile wide, and it isn't long before Dave's life, home, and career are in utter chaos. But staying mad at such lovable little creatures is next to impossible, no matter what kind of mischief they might get into.

Favorable: great entertainment "This DVD was delightful, entertaining, and laugh out loud fun. If you enjoy animation and live action along with furry animals this is the movie for you. Alvin, Theodore, and Simon will capture your heart and take you on a wild, fun journey with Dave in his bid for employment in the music industry. Grab your movie snacks, family and friends, and enjoy this DVD you won't regret it."

This was an adorable family film that my grandsons have seen twice and certainly not the last. It's so nice to see a movie that's entertaining and not one you have to walk out of because of persistent ugly language. Highly recommend. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed this movie, it was fun to watch. I grow up with the Alvin and his buddies, it was great to see the new version. This movie is not just for little kids, it is for big kids too....

For anyone watching the Chipmunks growing up you will love this movie. It reminds me of the show and is very fun to watch, no matter what your age.

As a mom of 3 boys, I loved this movie. We took a 6 yr old, a 5 yr old and a 2 yr old to see this in the theater and they danced in their seats and laughed throughout. They even danced in the aisle after the movie during the credits. I highly recommend this one for all ages... my mother in law and I sang the original songs along with the movie, too! And my kids are still listening to the soundtrack at home!

This is a must see movie no matter what age you are. The characters are just too cute and so funny, lovable, adorable, mischievous, and talented, but most of all the little guys just want a home and want to be loved. The the movie can be educational and also teach responsibility.
