    Mockumentary gem!

I saw this film in a screening at the directors guild before it went to Slamdance and was so surprised by how much I enjoyed it! I am not your typical horror/scary movie fan nor am I particularly well-versed on zombie movies; however, I appreciated this film just as much as the zombie lover sitting next to me. The script is catchy and witty and the scenario is completely entertaining. Zombies with equal rights? Hysterical. And Austin Basis (currently on CW's "Life Unexpected" - I'm a big fan) as the convenience store clerk was so funny. "Uh, I try to eat as many things with preservatives as I can...because, well, you know." So funny. I definitely recommend this to anyone - the end is a little harrowing but if you're going to give a nod to traditional thrillers, it had to be done. Grace Lee is a documentary director by trade so this veers a little bit from her traditional path in a nice, tongue-in-cheek manner. Kudos to cast and crew. Definitely an undiscovered gem.
